Step 1 – The Play
2017-18 Professor Hannah Fry and her maths team recruit volunteers to
take part in a BBC TV Pandemic Simulation Experiment. The data they
collect is called: The BBC Pandemic Dataset”

“Everybody knows about playing with dominoes, but what you may not know
is that a domino can knock over another domino which is about 1.5x
larger.”
Step 2 – The Set-up
2019: Members of the "Maths Team" are called-up to serve the UK
Government. They join SPI-M: the group of Pandemic Modellers brought in
to shape UK policy.

than the previous one."
Step 3: The Pitch
Jan-Feb 2020 – BBC Pandemic Dataset is used to model the spread of
COVID-19. Reports submitted to SPI-M. The Government alters the
trajectory of its response in favour of full lockdown.

"And the smallest domino is about 5mm high and 1mm thick, and I will
carefully place it..."
Step 4 The push
29th Feb 2020 – Breaking News: Patient Zero for Covid-19 found in
Haslemere.
BBC News begins the daily ritual of announcing an ever-mounting
Death Toll and Infection Count to an increasingly terrified nation.

"And there are 13 dominoes.
And the largest domino... it weighs about 100 lbs [grunts] and is more
than 1m tall.
Ready?"
Step 5: The chain
BBC News frightens the population into a trance-state of bewilderment
and compliance.

"Boom!"
Step 6: The Ruin
BBC keeps the population spellbound and stupefied.
The masses bow meekly to
authority and line-up
for their injections.
The jabs prove ineffective and harmful. The casualty toll mounts.

that that was the vaccine… and not something that would’ve happened
